RE: Max Sport by R-Vision

I just purchased a Max-Lite 28' TT 3 months ago and it is great ! The dry weight is 4,800 lbs. and I pull it with a Dodge Ram 1500 4.7L. The Max Sport is entry level and I would suggest the Max-Lite. The Max-Lite is loaded with all options. Why not spend a little more and get all the options? I looked at both before I bought, and I am glad I went with the Max-Lite. I am sure the Max Sport is a good TT. I went from a pop-up and wanted the extra options. I know a sales manager at R-Vision and will give you his # if you want. He is very helpful and can answer all your questions. I talked to him several times before I purchased. Good Luck..

RE: Vent Over Bed

We have a vent over our master bedroom in our Max-Lite and I purchased a vent cushion at Camping World. It fits snug into the vent. It keeps the light out and easy to use. I also bought another one for my other vent. Makes a big difference. I paid around $15 for two.

RE: Vent Caulk

This stuff is like play dough and is common on all rv's. It is not a tape, but a putty like sealant with a 2' width. It is on my vents, skylight and antenna. I can't believe it is this hard to find out what this is. I am going to take a picture and take it to Camping World tomorrow. Does anyone else have this on their rubber roof ?

Vent Caulk

I have a rubber roof and my vent needs re-caulking. All of the caulking on my rubber roof is a gray putty type caulk. I went to Camping World and they had no idea what this caulk is. I explained it is used on all my vents, antenna, and sky light. They tried to sell me a caulk that is used in a caulk gun with a small beed. There is no way that is what I need, because this stuff is like putty put on with a putty knive I suspose.Does anyone know what this is and where can I purchase it.
Thanks,

RE: bias or radial tires

I am having a new set of Denman Radials put on next week. I have bias (Duro's) on now and they lasted 2 years. I would not buy a bias tire. I would go with the Denman Radial. I am getting mine at Firestone. $75/Tire.

RE: Close to New TT/TV Decision

Dodge all the way !! I have a 2005 1500 Ram QC w/4.7 and pulls my Max-Lite 28RL great. I got 11MPG on my recent 400 mile trip, plus I have the 3.55 gears which I benefit from when not towing. My dry weight is only 4,800 #. The Hemi will do all you want. I was pulling a pop -up when I bought the truck. I would have bought the Hemi if I knew I was going to a 28' travel trailer. Anyway, I am pleased with my trucks performance. A lot of people go overboard with their TV. If your specs say it will pull it, then do it.

RE: Have you balanced your TT tires?

I am purchasing four new Denman Tires this week. The guy at Firestone told me if I wanted my tires balanced, it would be $40 more. He said he does not see why anyone would balance trailer tires, because you don't ride in your trailer. He said some do, but most don't balance their tires. I also pull a 20' ski boat that also have Denmans and they are not balanced and ride great. My trailer came with Duros (cheap !!) and need to be replaced after 2 years. I will save $40 and not get mine balanced. I can use an extra $40 in the gas tank.
